Cosima returns with a heartbreakingly beautiful single – Dear C. We last heard the Swedish singer on her debut-EP Head in the Clouds. Since then she’s been busy singing back up for artists such as Linnea Henriksson, Norlie & KKV and Paul Rey.
The new singe, Dear C is written for her departed mother, and the climatic and delicate single is one of her best works to date.
Cosimas’ vocals are soft, engaging and concise enhanced with angelic echoing voices. The arrangement and production are superb with intense highs, sudden edges and smooth undertones. The outro is nothing less than first-class. It’s so beautiful it hurts.
The single is released with a video containing original super-8 footage filmed by Cosima’s family on holiday. Edited by Einar Christoffersson, it works perfectly with the tempo of the track.
As a tribute to her mother is a piece of art, any mother would be proud of.
