Each month, week and hour we search the Nordic music sphere for the latest and best soulful grooves and vibes. This month we’ve found another selection of goodies too good to miss.
Wehle – Falmer
Let’s kick off this month with a stunning debut track from Danish singer Wehle (Martin Van Der Wehle) – see the main photo.
Sung in Danish the production on Falmer is tight, and the funk groove chorus is extremely catchy.
Follow Wehle on Soundcloud or Facebook and listen out for more from this new soul singer.

Marie Ljung & The Beatnikz – Love Comes Naturally
Love Comes Naturally by Swedish group Marie Ljung & The Beatnikz, was released on the 1st May 2011, but has only now been discovered by us.
The band formed Beatnikz in 2006 with producer Frank and Little Jay who created heavy beats with influences of hip hop, neo-soul and funk. With their heavy grooves, they created melodies and lyrics supplied by Marie Ljung. The result is really enjoyable!
This track Love Comes Naturally has a wonderful blend of sounds and beats.
And here’s another unmissable gem titled ‘Ain’t Nobody Else’.
Flode – Sweet Love
We end this months playlist by soaking up 5.13 minutes of wonderful late-night soul by Danish band Flode. This incredibly smooth and sexy track from 2014 is available as a Free Download, and we really hope to hear more from Flode in the future.
