Humus release debut album sampler

Humus are the northern most soul duo of the world, and in a few weeks (Monday 13th of April to be exact!) the Finnish band release their debut album ‘Sensibility/Sense’ on the BBE Record label.

The 13 track album includes tracks such as; I do (I do), I’m Telling You and Whole Lotta Love.

Humus consists of the highly creative duo Akanuke and Anahata.

Akanuke is originally from the Helsinki suburbs and Anahata hails from the Arctic Circle. Producer Akanuke comes from a hip-hop background while vocalist Anahata boasts jazz roots.

Together, Humus brings a joining synergy of the best of both worlds with their common passion for good music. Humus started making music in 2009, originally sung in Finnish but changed to English in 2011. After this change, Humus began receiving growing international interest.

Music is not the only form of art in which Humus is active and were nominated for Best Video at the Scandinavian Soul Music Awards for the brilliant and clever ‘I do (I do)’.

We’ve heard a video to ‘Fight Back’, which has a serious social message, is expected soon too.
