Júníus Meyvant keeps it soulful / LET IT PASS

Icelandic soul man Júníus Meyvant has released his second single LET IT PASS taken from his forthcoming album.

We were late in discovering the soulful tones of the singer, however, it wasn’t long before we were diving into his past releases and uncovering an artist with alluring melodies and noteworthy songs all undeniably grown from the seeds of soul music.

Released on Record Records / Glassnote Let it Pass continues to tap into his rich vein of production with a foot-tapping tempo and impassioned vocals.

“‘Let It Pass’ came to me in a dream. My wife woke me up because I was beatboxing in my sleep. In this dream, my good friend Andri, who helped me a lot in the making of this album, was running around a chair screaming ‘RECORD THIS!

IT’S A HIT!’ In the background, I could hear the melody of this song and the chorus was going: ‘Let it pass, let it pass.’ The next thing I know, my wife is standing over me asking what I’m doing with my mouth. I jumped to my feet and recorded the song there and then on my phone.” – Júníus.

LET IT PASS is taken from his forthcoming album – ACROSS THE BORDERS due out in Jan 2019. Júníus Meyvant and his band will embark on an extensive European headline tour throughout February & March 2019.
