Upcoming songstress Linae releases new video / Stuck In The Rain
You'll recognise the '80s sample
Today, Stockholm-based singer/songwriter Linae releases the new video to her single ‘Stuck In The Rain‘. If you know ’80s music, then you’ll immediately recognise the sample from the mega pop hit True by Spandau Ballet. The band officially approved the song, and it’s highly liked by guitarist, Gary Kemp.
At heart, Linae is a devoted soul/R&B lover, and the combination with her emotional and personal perspectives are joined in her new song and video.

That feeling of not knowing if the person is right for you creates uncertainty. With this song, I want to convey tenderness and continue to deliver timeless music where the listener gets invited to my world.”

Linae is an up-and-coming artist who debuted last year (2018) with a steamy R&B slow jam ‘Sweet Sweat‘. The singer performed at this years Stockholm Soul Festival and her live Pet Sound Studio Sessions (see here) captured a petite singer with a lot of heart & soul. With recent performances on Swedish TV, Linae is clearly heading in the right direction.

Linae grew up in a family where music was always present. Her mom introduced her to Sade, Prince and Marvin Gaye which led her to listen to artists like Janet Jackson, Robyn and Toni Braxton, all heavy influences on her music and creativity. Three years ago she met up with producer Luke (Kim Cesarion, Hips, TIAAN) and started to work on a musical identity, to develop as a singer and start to write and produce songs that would define her as an artist.
2017 the interpretation of the Maxwell 90’s hit-single” Ascension (Don’t Ever Wonder)” was released and its really stuck around and just passed 3 million streams at Spotify. Her natural way of embracing such a classic gave us a real taste of what to expect from her in the future. The collaboration also resulted in the self-written first single ‘Sweet Sweat‘.
