Danish soul singer, Nanna B, sits amongst an ever-growing number of artists at the forefront of the resurgence of soul music in Scandinavia.
Her unique sound, style and superb debut album Vitaphone, stamped the core of belief in us that soul music was still burning in Nordic artists hearts. And years later Nanna continues to burn brightly!
Currently residing in LA, Nanna, who early this year teased us with her sublime single – Beaches, now releases a full-length video and single titled ‘Where is the $$$?’.
Good question.
Nanna B explained,
“The $$$/dough/bread can mean love, freedom, space to be oneself. And ‘Where is the $$$?’ is a really relevant question in a broader sense, [about] living in a capitalist society where a few people are sitting on most of the wealth and important decisions are being made based on profit.”

Directed by Dana Washington, and inspired by ‘40s experimental filmmaker Maya Deren, Nannas’ soulful vocals float dreamily, before the bassline drops an infectious groove.
‘Where is the $$$?’ is taken from her highly anticipated, self-produced EP, LAPIS which bridges a gap between a full-length album.
Original in concept and creative in production, Nanna B is bang on the money.
