Danish singer/songwriter Nanna.B welcomes R&B composer and actor Raphael Saadiq to create a union of contemporary soul artists for their single Too Much.
Grammy winner Raphael Saadiq rose to fame with legendary ’90s R&B band Tony! Toni! Toné! and has recently worked with Solange, John Legend and Mary J. Blige, now lays his luxurious vocals on this new collaboration. We’ve been following Nanna. B’s since her debut releases, and this duet is verification of her status in the music world, where for too long, she has been severely underrated.
Her nu-soul productions inspired by nature and spiritual concepts (Indigo, Golden) have aroused the senses of alternative soul listeners, often released with creative visuals. Dubbed ‘the high priestess of Scandinavian Soul‘ Nanna’s unique style and themes helped awaken and inspire a new generation of Danish soul/R&B artists. We’re delighted to see this duet happen.
Engineered and mixed by Hotae Alexander Jang, Too Much is a 5-minute embrace of neo-soul with the maestro and the Danish soulstress in harmony above staggered, looped piano notes.
