The sweet sound of the saxophone blended with soulful vocals, jazz, and African influences are all elements that can be found in M’Ndavi. A perfect example of this is the track “Love Needs More”, the first single and official video from their forthcoming EP ‘Holy Love’.
M’Ndavi is a Polish-Nigerian duo of jazz singer M’Ndavi, and saxophone player Julius Maduaka, who both reside in Copenhagen, Denmark.
“Our songs are written mainly in English, however, here and there you will hear bits and pieces of Polish and Igbo” says M’Ndavi. “The lyrics present an intimate relationship of two people, who – in spite of the culture clash and everyday challenges – decide to live together and love one another with the pure and infinite “Holy Love”.
The EP ‘Holy Love’ is expected to be released on August 18.
