NIKK brings his own style of soul

Stepping in to the flourishing new wave of soulful music is Stockholm-based songwriter and producer – NIKK.

NIKK (Niklas Ljungfelt) has been working as a musician and guitarist for many years, and has been a part of projects together with artists such as; Taylor Swift, Tove Lo, Loreen and Ariana Grande, mainly as a guitarist and songwriter. Now NIKK is working on his own solo-project and Follow You is the first single from his forthcoming album.

“I get a lot of inspiration from both the old school soul/RnB like Stevie Wonder and Bill Withers”, NIkk told us, “but also from modern soul like Tingsek and D´angelo”.

“The last year I started to work a lot with electronic music and I´ve been trying to create a mix of abstract electronic beats and soulful guitars and vocals. Keeping my old roots from soul/RnB but still finding new ways of making it sound more modern.”

Follow You indeed gives us another fresh interpretation of the expansive sound of nordic nu-soul.
