Copenhagen-based singer, producer Kool Kat is clear in her direction to deliver silky, sexy soul with her debut single – Hermetic Beauty.

Sophisticated yet very dramatic, Hermetic Beauty is inspired by the fourth-wave feminism. The Fourth-wave feminism refers to a resurgence of interest in feminism that began around 2012 and is associated with the use of social media.

And Kool Kat aims to keep it real.
All her recordings are live to keep the authenticity.

The singles cool, dark chords, reminiscent of classic Portishead, conjures images of smoky bars and darkly-lit nightclubs. Like Sweden’s Snoh Aalegra there’s a dark, jazzy soul world their vocals evoke and your jacket is gently removed as they welcome you in.
