Ok, our hands are up, and we are wearing a Soul of Shame sticker on our foreheads. We missed this release from singer Snoh Aalegra in early January 2014 but we’re glad we’ve discovered her now.
Signed to ARTIUM QOQ/Sony Music, the Swedish singer-songwriter has been working Grammy Award-winning producer, No I.D., forging a soul-driven, yet the genre-bending sound that compliments her raspy voice and strikingly good looks. Snoh describes herself as a huge fan of Michael Jackson and it’s incredibly hard not to look at her and not be reminded of another late soul legend, Amy Winehouse.

The video to Burning Bridges is best described as a dark track “with a more emotional vibe than a traditional song” according to the sleeve notes.
“I wanted to create a visual that reflects this idea,” says Snoh.
And this is done through the magic of director Matt Barnes.
