SoLi composes a soulful tribute / Här och Nu
Swedish singer /songwriter reminds us right now is all we have.
The latest release, ‘Här och Nu’ from Swedish pop/soul artist and songwriter SoLi, uncovers her in a reflective soulful mood.
Based in Tyresö, Stockholm SoLi (an abbreviation of her name Sofia Lindqvist) wrote the Swedish sung single after the tragic loss of her mother.
‘Här och Nu‘ came to me when my mother received her death sentence when she was fighting cancer’ wrote Sofia. ‘Losing her under such unfair conditions changed my outlook on life. But ‘Här och nu’ is not a song of sorrow. It is a tribute to life, a reminder of what actually matters, a call to live – här och nu (Here & Now).’
Minimalist in arrangement, the piano keys create a foundation of glitter for this song of positivity, with SoLi providing a sincere and open vocal.
Living in the present is challenging as we spend most of the time worrying about tomorrow. SoLi’s message is one we should all remember.
