Moving between neo-soul, pop and R&B Swedish singer/songwriter STEPH returns with a new charming single called Seasons. With perfect timing, the track feels ideal for listening to as the season changes from summer to autumn.
Based in Malmo, STEPH has enlightened Sweden’s R&B scene since her debut release, Trust in 2020. Her following tracks Lifetimes, Leave it and Be Yours, all delivered R&B on par with international headliners.
Produced by Gabriel Drew and co-written by Michelle Zarate, Seasons delivers warming vibrations with her soft vocals blending beautifully with the light rhythmic piano notes and the electronic chorus. It is stripped down yet captivating, with some unexpected elements and details that keep listeners on their toes.
One of the stand-out factors is the transitional bridge between the verse and the chorus, which flawlessly connects the song’s different parts. Another is the key that STEPH chose to sing in, which lets her explore the lower register of her voice with a gorgeous result.
