Swedish vocalist-composer, Liselotte Östblom, has launched a crowd-funding campaign for the release of her debut EP “A Paintbrush Unfold”.
It’s a struggle for independent artists to produce finished releases with ever-rising studio and production costs, so Kickstarter – the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects, provides the ideal solution to help support new music and new ideas.
We first discovered the passionate artist Liselotte in the future, neo-soul band ‘Ever Say Ever’. We swiftly invited them to take part in our Scandinavian soul studio sessions, and we were left mesmerised by her seemingly effortless, yet incredible vocals.
The jazzy trained singer now files solo and aims to release her debut 7-track EP “A Paintbrush Unfold” with the help of her fans, and music lovers like you.
Describing her music Liselotte said ’In my music I combine the elements of jazz-like harmony, interactive play and improvisation with soulful melodies and static frameworks of beats, grooves and rhythm influenced by Hip Hop. There is some electronic production and rock-Hendrix guitars too.
The lyrics are expressions from my own story. Songs that ask questions, search for truth and love and process the disappointments. There is an emotional curve of the EP from start to end. I wish that people hear my heart behind the music and can relate it to something in their life.’
Liselotte has created a range of tempting offers for everyone who supports the making of this EP – from signed CD’s to a House-gig! Yes she’ll will come to your home and perform in your living room!
Please share the pictures with us if she does!
