Radiating ’80s synths and electrifying sound waves NOT SO NICE, the new single from Karin Fransson signals a surprising new direction.
For almost a decade, the London-based Swedish singer-writer has presented her professional songwriting skills and silky soulful vocals with an accompaniment of bossa nova, folk or acoustic guitar notes.
Behind her new neon, retro glow is Austrian native BÜ, whose production creates an underline of synths keys and an ’80s electronic groove.
Described by the duo as lo-fi with a twist of soul, this arrangement loses nothing of Karin’s eloquent soulful tones, instead presenting a sultry new perspective. NOT SO NICE is also released with a video (see top), and the champagne-sipping artist should celebrate with a glass of bubbles.
