Linda Bugatti is no stranger to us here at Scandinavian Soul studios, and we have always admired her unique, genre-mixing sound. Now the Swedish singer, songwriter and producer returns with her first-ever collaboration alongside artist and producer obi mani – earthquake.
According to Linda, the song is about loving someone you cannot have, creating the feeling of simultaneously flying high and sinking into the deepest waters.
The single also marks obi mani‘s debut for us, and his moody male vocals add bluesy soul to this single of tormented romance.

obi mani
’obi mani’ is the alias for music producer and artist Tobias Kihlman, whose style would best be described as a
combination of indie/bedroom pop, R&B and future beats with a twist of a lofi-esque character. Smooth soundscapes are often combined with lush falsettos that contribute to a unique sound id.
What stood out to us the most was how well this collaboration played out. The artists match each other perfectly, from style to expression to vocals. Their voices blend well, and they almost feel like each other equivalents without being too similar.
We also have to mention how the artists divided the song by simply splitting it in half (an earthquake split in between?), creating a modern-formed duet. An upcoming contemporary duo to note, we cannot wait to hear more from!
