We have praised Shenie Fogo several times on Scandinaviansoul.com, listing her song Explain in our top songs of 2021. So, we’re over the moon to announce that she’s back with a new single called – Impatient.
Captivating from the intro’s first notes, the song is deep, powerful and dramatic, with a heavy beat that, if played through quality speakers (seriously…always use quality hi-fi), vibrates through your entire body. Shenie’s voice, seductive, sensual and almost hypnotic, keeps it soulful and moving into the new genres of ‘broken soul’ and ‘broken R&B’*. As an extra twist, the singer’s voice is heavily remixed in certain parts of the song, almost creating a feeling of an intriguing duet.
As if the song wasn’t enough, the video adds the art of spellbinding minimalism. It follows the artist dressed in a bronzy outfit in a warm orange room, creating a truly eye-catching effect. Her styling is on point, and she smoulders as she moves with subtle but expressive movements. And those shoes…
