Three superb tracks in a row confirm Yehra‘s credentials as a band music lovers should get to know, and will no doubt, love.
Coming after Yehra’s superb introduction Daydreaming and the mesmeric follow-up Magnetic, Dirty Love affirms their distinguished framework.
In a subtle change of direction, the duo’s (Barbadian-Canadian singer Jen Mahon and Danish producer Rasmus Liebst) latest release weaves with more pop sonics in focus and the uplifted tempo urges hips to sway. Lead vocalist Mahon makes the song’s title softly purr as it exposes her desires. Even with dramatic strings, it somehow remains sexy and dreamy.
“Most of the songs on our upcoming EP are slow and mellow. With ‘Dirty Love’ we stepped a bit out of that comfort zone, and made a more danceable record inspired by 70s disco, while still keeping our signature slow tempo.” – Rasmus Liebst
A special note should be made of their impressive photo artwork. It’s in striking, sensual harmony with their music.
Yehra is one pleasure you don’t have to feel guilty about.
