Zikai felt compelled to go it alone as she releases a tender and heartfelt single – Do You Love Me Still?

The emerging Swedish singer/songwriter last came into our playlists with the seductive R&B single – Liquor Kisses. Here, accompanied by rhythmical guitar chords and layered harmonies, Zikai slows the tempo and with delicate vocals asks, if love is still there. Anyone who has loved and lost can relate to the sentiments entrancingly expressed.

Speaking about the song’s inspiration, Zikai says:

The song is about the consequences of taking someone for granted, in a relationship in my case. I started writing it from my point of view, but it seemed like the writing process became a better therapy for me if I tried to interpret the emotions and feelings of the guy I once loved. The words naturally came to me when I changed the perspective.

I wrote the song less than two weeks ago, posted a snippet on my Instagram from the demo and the response was so amazing. I decided to be spontaneous and release it without a whole label release plan like my other songs had and am so proud to get it out there.
