Always enticed by the pacey beats of drum and bass, the single The Fence Around My Heart excites speakers with a thrilling pulse and yet remains dreamy with Malan Elise gentle vocals. It’s these two opposites that attract!
On a similar music sphere as Sia or Kate Bush, Copenhagen based Malans’ alternative creations are ordinarily indie/pop-oriented. However, The Fence Around My Heart exposes another angle into the world of the composer, music producer, sound designer and singer.
The song is from her album ‘Kokoro and Her Experiment‘, and released with a visually arresting music video (see above).
The song’s theme is reflected in the graphics and captures how complex the human heart can be – and that we often need to look inside to find it again – and to open it again.
