The new single by upcoming Swedish artist JVLES seeks to describe ‘distance’ within a relationship and the smooth R&B track pulls us closer to the emerging songstress.

Indirectly the song also reflects life in 2020. Loving from a distance has become a reality for many as the pandemic continues to keep friends and family apart. In this case however, the distance is sought.
‘Distance‘ is JVLES third single following the singles Taste and Sweatshirt. Inspired from personal songs about the complexities of love, the Gothenburg based songstress is developing a tonality of her own, balancing her nordic melancholic persona with warming vocal sweetness.
‘Distance is an attempt to describe the feeling of wanting someone but at the same time wanting to keep a distance, explains JVLES.
‘I wanted to describe the strange cat and mouse game that can occur in a relationship, and I wanted to wrap that feeling in a soft and rocking sound, even though the feeling itself is the exact opposite.”
