Love is defiantly in the air this Valentine’s day with the romantic debut video/track release of WON’T YOU BE MINE by Marianne da Cruz.
Marianne da Cruz is a young Swedish singer from Malmö who has been a regular vocalist with the group S.T.I.C.S. Since 2004 S.T.I.C.S (Sound That Inspires Conscious Souls) has produced an array of quality music from acoustic soul, hip-hop and spoken word.
Now flying solo, Marianne da Cruz is clearly drawing attention as she’s already been interviewed on Malmo’s P4 radio breakfast show. The video, produced by Roberto Duarte, is well made and runs a surprising 4+ min in length.
It’s been a while since we heard this type of soulful/jazzy sound and ‘Won’t you be mine’ delightfully demonstrates the wide range of Scandinavian Soul music within the nordic regions. We forecast an exciting future ahead for the young singer.
