Stockholm-based singer/songwriter Madeleine Grace has released her second video – Honest.
Madeleine puts on her gloves and gets in the ring, demonstrating the fighting spirit and inner strength needed to achieve your goals. Produced by Noach Shariff, the single blends soul and hip-hop with absorbing guitar chords.
Explaining the underlying meaning of the video, Madeleine says, ‘The most important thing you can give to yourself is not to give up when something you are experiencing hurts the most. The payoff won’t come at once. That’s what I want to convey with the video for Honest. I want to show another side of pain that can also be incredibly beautiful. Or at least show how I tackle things in life and with that inspire others.’
After several years as a singer in Oslo-based Two Yearz, she premiered as a solo artist in late 2017 with a laid-back ballad ‘Sail Away‘. Madeleine Grace was born and partly raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Inspiration came early from artists such as TLC, Lil’ Kim, Janet Jackson, Destiny’s Child and Jennifer Lopez, as well as Congolese artists such as Koffi Olomodì and Papa Wemba.
