PHLAKE release their debut Album – Slush Hours
Denmarks R&B pioneers remind us that music can be fun.
Award-winning duo Phlake release their eagerly awaited debut album – Slush Hours.
The Danish band consists of Mads Bo and Jonathan Elkær and they immediately made an impact with their cool videos and singles filled with sexy R&B grooves. Phlake’s wonderful sense of humour, highlighted in the monster track – Pregnant, brought them to a global audience and earned them the BEST R&B/POP Award at the 2016 Scandinavian Soul Music Awards.
“There’s a new room at PHLAKEMANSION“ says Phlake. “Actually it’s more than one room. It’s a house on a hill….(ah fuck it you know the rest) We named the building SLUSH HOURS, and it has a crooked roof, where the sweet sounds of our brand NEW ALBUM is crawling up the walls.
You can get SO FADED in the barbecue room (don’t worry it’s ventilated), you can catch a tan, and live la pura vida in the COSTA RICA room. The white wine’s on us. If you happen to stumble upon an old ex of yours, say cheers, and maybe get some BREAKUP BUSINESS going.
Someone might get PREGNANT while visiting the mansion, and that’s just a beautiful thing. We condone this loving behaviour, and yes, there’s a constant snack patrol on duty at the mansion.”
