Rosa Raye taps into the ’90s vault of US R&B and infuses it with her summery touches on the new single – When We Were Good.
The petite Danish songstress debuted with the singles Living Spree and On Paper, and her distinctive, delightfully sweet tones immediately set her apart. A sense of innocence and confidence colour her sound and image in warm hues and shimmering twinkles.

When We Were Good hears Rosa Raye looking back on at moments of a past relationship and the presents the ups and downs through a sunny and catchy R&B lens.
“We actually kept the demo vocal on the track,” said Rosa describing the lyrics, “so what you hear is just what I wrote and recorded that day. I wasn’t trying to say the right, correct things – I was just expressing a feeling. I don’t sugarcoat it because stuff like that hurts. But sometimes when the truth hurts, you just want to escape and make yourself feel good by thinking about the good memories and ignoring the bad, so the song is not too serious. There are some fun lines in there.”
Released with a video, filmed and edited by Jeppe Steenfeldt-Jensen, Rosa Raye delivers an uplifting spirit, charm and fun.
You go, girl!
