This month may be moving faster than a Tortoise on Roller Skates but we still have time to share some of the latest tracks we’ve found and think you should be listening to them too!
Monologen (SWE) – Are you Ready
Swedish producer Monologen added this MJ sampled nugget to Soundcloud a few weeks ago and it’s got the good times vibes all over it. The track is called ‘Are you Ready’ and currently the lead vocalist is unknown.
Melody Carlsson (SWE) – Do It All (Again)
On a completely different tip is a new singer with the super name Melody Carlsson from Gotenberg, Sweden. This track has the electronic beat synonymous with Scandinavia yet has warm, soulful and sexy vocals draped on top.
Caroline Franceska (DK) – 3 Way Street
It was easy to see why Danish singer Caroline Franceska was nominated for Best EP and Best Newcomer at the Scandinavian Soul Music Awards after she announced herself onto the soul scene in 2014 with an excellent debut EP titled Savannah Mixtape. The singer/producer/songwriter shows us her vocal versatility with almost operatic highs on her new track 3 Way Street. The single is a dreamy duet with strings, soulful vocals and excellently produced.
They don’t get much smoother than this!
Selina Stoane (NOR) – I heard Love is Blind acoustic
Norwegian singer/actress Selina Stoane (see main photo), who’s produced a number of scandipop tracks, returns after a temporary hiatus with a soulful acoustic cover of Amy Winehouse’s ‘I heard Love is Blind’.
Selina said ‘One take, No autotune.’
We simply say ‘yes Selina. Yes!’. We’re defiantly listening out for more!
