Swedish Funk music is boldly declaring its intention to fire up the dance-floors, and The SilverTwins of Funk latest release DTF (Down To Funk, are You?) feat Jenny Silver are pressing the ignition button. Just watch the video above!
The only answer to the title of the song has to be ‘yes’!
Behind the SilverTwins Of Funk is the songwriter/producer team: Fronkpac (Fredrik Jahn) and Matt the guitar man (Mattias Adolfsson). The duo (who wear silver outfits) continue the Clinton / Bootsy funk evolution by imprinting DTF (Down To Funk, are You?) with a signature funky bass-line and a glittering twist of boogie ‘n’ disco.
The tongue in cheek title hints at the effervescent joy of DTF with Jenny Silver finding herself at home within the band. Her joy is reflected in her tone and the lyrics she composed for this arrangement. Incorporating the George Michaels’ line ‘practising the same religion‘ is an infectious boost of familiarity.
“I have found my soulmates, in the double sense!” said Jenny. “It feels absolutely wonderfully liberating to make music that is affirmatively sexy but that can also be cocky and relevant – a dream collaboration!”

“This is our first song in collaboration with Jenny Silver. A super exciting collaboration with one of Sweden’s most talented singers” says Fredrik Jahn a.k.a Fronkpac, one of the collective’s founders.
Jenny has a breathtaking track record. She has worked with Svante Thuresson, Åsa Jinder, Owe Thörnquist, Torsten Flinck, Holden, Kleerup, Paul Rein, Totta Näslund, Dan Hylander, George Riedel, Emrik and many, many more.
Fredrik continues, ‘We were seduced by Jenny’s voice, style, feeling and openness! She has a unique presence and love in everything she does, and to quote funk’s own grand old man, George Clinton: “The funk can appear anywhere, You just have to embrace it whenever it appears”. IT … is Jenny!’
We are so ready to get the funk down with more of this trio! Silver? This is gold!
