I Went to The Jungle – is the debut track by Swedish singer Hannes and it’s a stunningly eloquent premiere that you’ll feel from the first play!
Hannes announces himself with an alluring soulful sound produced with an exquisite balance of groove and melodies.
The track has already received plaudits. UK DJ Rich Chocolate (floradio.co.uk) said, ‘A new name to my ears but delivering something familiar, soothing and delicately smooth.‘ While Noa Söderberg wrote, “The consistency of intimacy and brilliance reminds me of Frank Ocean with a chamber orchestra.“
An experienced freelance musician, Hannes decided to launch a solo project and present his expressions with a unique mix of pop, soul, jazz and R&B.
In November 2016, “Hannes” began to work with the producer and songwriter Tom White, debuting with ‘I Went to The Jungle’ written and produced by Tom.
Based in Stockholm, Hannes and Tom plan to release more music this year, and especially during the summer. They also plan to release a song every two weeks – a project they call ‘The Youth Culture Calendar.’
“We wanted to do a project about missing the teenage period“, said Hannes and Tom.
“We both felt weren’t really a part of it. I (Hannes) hung out mainly at Church while Tom was mostly at home and unhappy in love. In this project, we try to explore the youth culture and take back all we missed.”
We certainly look forward to hearing more musical interpretations from this duo’s past.
