MARJUT is a newly discovered artist, and the Helsinki-based singer-songwriter combines melodic pop with modern R&B on her new track ‘Highlight’.
The single tells a story of embracing the unfamiliar, letting go, and jumping into the unknown. This is reflected in a well-made video.
MARJUT explains
“The idea of Highlight had been revolving in my mind for quite some time. When I got this track from a producer, it was clear that the idea and the music would fit flawlessly. It was then easy to write up a chorus to the catchy synth melody.”
The resulting sound is a modern, fresh electro-pop that includes vocals of soul/R&B quality. Very catchy!
